Bad Apples
Hah! I finally stumbled upon someone who hates apples as much as I do. So much that they overstated an extraordinarily minor point in this article that’s actually about excessive teen drinking causing tooth decay. Most of the way through the article:
Fruit, which is acidic, is also linked to dental erosion, but is only a problem if eaten in unusually large amounts.
It was eaten regularly by two thirds of the children. The most common choice was apples.
I love that the article is not at all about the evils of apples. In fact, the point is so minor that I almost missed the reference altogether. But the skewed (correctly, I might add) perspective of the apple-hater misses the part about alcohol, and zeroes right in on the important thing here: apples are the bane of our existence.
