Parents aren’t supposed to move. It makes it a real pain for their children, particularly children who are artists and have all their work from undergrad in their parents’ basement.
I want to keep it, I just don’t want to move it around with me.
It’s been fun going through it all, although embarassing at times: how many angry self portraits can one person do in the course of 4 years? Oh, the angst(!). And the thousands of dollars worth of paper that I wasted on crappy, ugly lithos and bad watercolors…
But occasionally I come across a gem, like this photo by Samuel R. Nichol. Me: frontside ollie grab: 1990.
