Screw the System

So I’m standing in line at the grocery store yesterday and I’m ready to check out.

cashier: Do you have a Kroger Plus Card?

me: No

older woman who just checked out in front of me: Why don’t you use mine?

me: That’s ok.

older woman: Use it. We’ve got to screw the system somehow.

I saved $1.30 and screwed up the valuable data Kroger collects on us. (I also learned that my nice friend has saved $351.95 so far.)
