Old School, Fool
We went to see Dog Town and Z-Boys last night. It was great. I didn’t know going in that Stacy Peralta directed it. The style was so similar to all the Powell movies—it totally makes sense.
It was really interesting to see the prototype of the story that I wrote for myself in those days. Back when I skated everyday, I didn’t know who 75 percent of the z-boys were, but they shaped my identity to an incredible extent.
Anyway, Bill Danforth was there. Crazy.

im a 36 year old kid at heart, longboarder for 29 years, and metal artist. i met bill danforth back in 2000 and we became good friends and i was invited to finish the tour with the now defuncked STINK brand team. As far as the dogtown dvd, i agree with your comment on shaping your skating identity…..if id only been living in cali back in the day….anyway, stay outa trouble chris.
