Pain
The worst thing that can happen to you on a skateboard is that you lose your back foot and your board keeps going. This exact thing happened to me tonight.
Greg and Mark are pushing me to finally stop being a wuss and grind in the deepend of the bowl. And I’m so close—backside wheels rubbing the underside of the coping. I pull a nice carve, all the way up, but no trucks on that coping, back up to the shallow, carve a frontside around the corner, cruise back, going way too fast. I hit the hip a little funny, my wheels slide and my back foot plants on the cement.
I didn’t know my knee could bend so far to the side.
With any luck, I’ll have some video tomorrow. Oh and maybe some cool whiplash grinds around the corner.
