Comments Count not Updating
I just noticed that the comments count doesn’t update on the index page without a substantial change to an entry. There’s an explanation on the MT Support Forum detailing why. Basically the feature in MT 2.51 that doesn’t rebuild RSS files when a comment is posted also prevents the homepage from rebuilding when a comment is posted because the over byte weight of the page doesn’t change. Apparently the fix is to get the Digest::MD5 perl module and put it in the extlib/ directory.
Gotta do that tomorrow…
