What a difference it makes to not be afraid to bail. My knees feel 400% better and tonight I had the best session I’ve had in months.
They’re trying to drum up more business on Saturday nights at Vans, so they had some high school bands playing. You know there’s something wrong when you walk into a skatepark and you see a bunch of kids in letter jackets standing around and more teenage girls than skaters. (I don’t mean to imply that people who ride skateboards are inherently male, because they’re not. It’s just that when I was that age, there really weren’t too many girls who thought that skaters were cool. Although I did happen to marry one…)
What happened? It’s so bizarre that skateboarding is cool. Blame it all on Avril Lavigne.
