Break Time’s Over
It was actually nice to take some time off from staring at a computer screen over the last few weeks. I wanted to get the new site design finished for the new year, but that didn’t happen yet—I still have to work out some bugs in IE6…
Not that I have much time for that, since class starts up in a week and a half and I have yet to prepare anything. I’m not too worried, though. I should be able to use almost everything from last year, assuming (perhaps dangerously) that the textbook hasn’t changed too much from Flash 5 to Flash MX. Foolhardy? That remains to be seen.
I would have plenty of time if I were more efficient with my time. I tend to waste a lot of time evaluating and re-evaluating what I’m doing, even though the final result isn’t necessarily any better for the multiple iterations. It’s just my obsessive tendency to repeat and regurgitate things, ad nauseum, and in the repetition, I tend to be sidetracked by tangents and oblique lines of thinking. I don’t think it’s always a bad thing, but it is inefficient and sometimes intereferes with my productivity. So maybe I should resolve to be more efficient with my time and limit corrollaries in most circumstances, focusing on the task at hand, removing the other distractions as much as possible.
Maybe.
