Punk Rock Dreams
Strange dreams last night.
I dreamt that CMK and I were at some sort of lecture where the speaker claimed that Sonic Youth’s music led to depression. He played a few of their darker tracks as proof.
Suddenly, I think it was at the same event, we were in an arena like the new Tiger Stadium. There was a kid walking up the stairs with a McDonald’s cap on. He turned his head, I saw a Dead Kennedys patch on the side, and I couldn’t help but yelling at the kid: “What the fuck, kid! Don’t you know what the Dead Kennedys stand for?”
And then this morning there’s this—the photo, not the article. That’s a separate issue.
