Not Me Godzilla
I recently downloaded some tracks by the Dead Milkmen, and I’m reminded of the time that Not Me Dave opened for them at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit. As part of the stage show, I dressed up in a Godzilla suit and proceeded to stomp through a carefully constructed model of the Cass Corridor, destroying those establishments that were too slick and hip. The finale, of course, was a staggering leap across the Detroit river, a crushing blow to the 89X broadcasting tower, and a stage dive.
Good times.
