Renters No More?
This is something of the last straw for us:
We’re a little (maybe a lot) tired of being the ghetto house on a block of $200,000+ houses. Our landlord has been quite responsive to our requests to do something about the grass, which was first decimated by grubs, then completely killed by a lack of rain last summer, and has now been completely replaced by weeds, primarily dandelions. There’s literally not a single blade of grass in the front yard.
So, in light of the upcoming natal event, we’ve decided that we should buy a house. Unfortunately, Ann Arbor is way above our price range, so we’re looking in Ypsilanti.
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind. Just over a week ago, CMK called to make an appointment for pre-approval on a mortgage and ended up giving all our information on the phone and we were approved the next day and we’ve been looking for about a week and I think we found the one yesterday. No jinxing here, so no details yet. One good thing (I think): the address doesn’t come up in a Google search.
