Landscape Series
Inspired by drives through the rural landscape. Opaque and transparent enamel on copper. All are 6 x 6 inches.
Map Series
Inspired by cartography and terra incognita. Opaque enamel on copper. All are smaller than 9 x 9 inches.
Weaving Series
Inspired by my travels to Turkey and India, the tile motifs become metaphors for the way in which culture is cyclically built and eroded. I’m using lots of different materials in addition to enamel on steel and copper and working larger than ever before.
Abstracts
Inspired by the transparency of enamel on copper. The colors are achieved by layers of clear, yellow, blue enamel, and occasionally 24 kt gold fused in. All are smaller than 9 x 9 inches.
